The Climate Action Tracker provides an update after the UNFCCC workshops held at the Bonn climate talks 9 to 10 June 2011. The workshop on 9 June allowed developed countries to clarify the assumptions and the conditions of their proposed emission reductions and ways to increase their level of ambition. The workshop on 10 June allowed developing countries to clarify underlying assumptions made and any support needed for implementation of their proposed actions. This was the second round of workshops after the first round at Bangkok in April 2011. 

The workshops have not changed the gap between emission reduction pledges and what is to needed to get the world on track for limiting global warming to 2 and 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. No developed country attempted to increase their reduction target as it was requested in Cancun Agreements and in the mandate for the workshop held in Bonn.  Developing countries reported at the workshops significant new planning activities to reduce emissions in the future.
