On the occasion of World Environment Day 2011, we prepared a very brief  note on the work of Climate Himalaya Initiative in advocating Mountain Agenda from Himalayan region .

Our Take: Who will Fund our will!

We don’t always require a project fund to set examples, spread ideas and make things happen! On this premise we launched Climate Himalaya Initiative on 5 June 2010. Not all ideas and discussions we had during last one year with our likely partners, were implemented by us, but we could see they were! Climate Himalaya team is aware that our voice made a difference, in advocating various important policy aspects in knowledge management and institutional networking, in Himalayan region.

It was the will, and it will…!

Our Campaign: Cancún-Mountain Trails…

As science says that mountains are the early indicators of gl

Story: Adaptation in Himalayan Mountains...

Knowledge, Innovation and Adaptation Platform…

A knowledge sharing platform has been developed, where on daily basis updates and information on various climate change issues from Himalaya is updated. Building upon future…

The initiative is now partner to UNEP supported Asia Pacific Adaptation Network and media partner to Climate 2011 conference. We are running opinion poll and a debate on sustainable mountain development and will be launching a Himalaya focused policy advocacy campaign in context to CoP17, RIO +20 and IYB 2011-2020.

We Need Support

To run our upcoming policy advocacy campaign and expand existing knowledge platform. We are also inviting guest contributors/columnists to write articles on mountain issues in Himalaya at our knowledge portal.
